(More customer reviews)These are the first sheets I've bought since my old mattress gave out. The Spiegel percale sheets I bought more than 20 years ago were still going strong but the new mattress is too thick for them. Apparently the thicker mattresses of today make fitted sheets that fit tight impossible. the only way I can keep these sheets smooth is with special clips that are difficult to apply. I love how soft they are. I'm not such a big fan of how limp they are. I'm a little worried that in the summer they will be a little close. They have not pilled and I've been using them about 6 months. They have the finest weave of any sheets I've every slept in.
