(More customer reviews)Turns out 778-thread count makes the sheet heavy and strong. Seems like these will last forever. I agree with some of the others that they are not particularly soft. And it's a bit of a wrestling match to get them on the bed since they are so tough.
Weirdly, Amazon had the flat and fitted sheets, but no pillow cases, in the color I wanted. Switched to Wamsutta's 400-Count in a coordinating color for the pillow cases and they were much softer.
